Copperplate Alt by Wiescher-Design is a display typeface with a practical twist: lowercase letters that sit slightly smaller than capitals. That feature gives you control over visual hierarchy without switching fonts. It's the sister to Copperplate Wide, but this version opens up compositional moves most display faces don't allow. The dimensional flexibility lets lowercase breathe at its own scale while maintaining the typeface's refined character.

This works brilliantly for any formal application where restraint matters. Picture upscale wine labels, luxury cosmetics packaging, embossed business cards, or wedding invitation suites where you need both presence and polish without heaviness. Editorial headers benefit too when case styles mix, suddenly feeling more intentional. The scaled lowercase also solves a real problem for boutique restaurant menus and diplomas where you want sophistication without awkward spacing or visual discord.

Wiescher-Design approaches typeface design with genuine thoughtfulness, and this variant addresses a common frustration: refined display fonts usually force you to choose between all caps or settling for the visual clash of standard case mixing. Copperplate Alt sidesteps that entirely. Get it on Creative Fabrica and watch how the proportioning opens up new possibilities in formal display work.
