DMCA & Copyright Takedown Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

1. Our Commitment

FontBoxDL (fontboxdl.com) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent principles under applicable law. If you believe material on our site infringes a copyright you own or control, you can ask us to remove it using the process below.

2. What We Host and What We Link To

FontBoxDL presents fonts from two kinds of sources:

  • Fonts we host. We host some font files that are offered for free personal use, together with preview images, so visitors can find and download them. These are marked and served from our own servers.
  • Fonts we link to. For many other fonts we show previews and descriptions and link out to third-party marketplaces, which handle the actual download. Some of these links are affiliate links.

Font names, preview images, and descriptions belong to their respective rights holders and are shown for identification and discovery. If any hosted file or preview should not be available on FontBoxDL, we will remove it promptly once properly notified.

3. How to File a Takedown Notice

To request removal of material, send a written notice to our designated contact (see Section 4) that includes all of the following. Incomplete notices may delay our response.

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (for a font, its exact name and a link to the original or to proof of your rights).
  2. Identification of the material you want removed and enough information for us to locate it — ideally the full fontboxdl.com URL(s) of the page or file.
  3. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

4. Designated Contact

Send copyright notices to our DMCA / copyright contact:

FontBoxDL — Copyright Agent
Email: [email protected]

Please put "DMCA Takedown Notice" in the subject line so we can route it quickly. This address is for copyright notices; unrelated messages may not receive a reply here.

5. What Happens After We Receive a Notice

  • We review valid notices and expeditiously remove or disable access to the material in question.
  • Where possible, we notify the affected user or make a reasonable effort to let them know the material was removed.
  • We may document the notice for our records and repeat-infringer tracking.

6. Counter-Notification

If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same contact. It must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts and will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a court action within the period required by applicable law.

7. Repeat Infringers

We will, in appropriate circumstances, disable or terminate accounts and remove content from users who are repeat infringers of copyright.

8. Misrepresentation

Under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)), you may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees, if you knowingly and materially misrepresent that material is infringing or was removed by mistake. Please make sure your request is accurate before sending it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. For general questions unrelated to copyright, see our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
