These geometric letterforms pack serious punch. Churchward 69, created by BluHead Studio and rooted in a Joseph Churchward original from the late 1960s, ranges from ultra-condensed to impossibly heavy weights, giving this square sans serif the kind of presence that commands attention wherever it lands. The italic cuts through at a fierce 17-degree angle, giving even slanted text that same blocky, forward intensity that defines the entire family.

The full lineup includes five core weights (Regular, Bold, Extra Bold, Black, and Ultra Black) plus matching italics, so you can calibrate visual impact from whisper-quiet to absolutely overwhelming. It's a natural fit for bold packaging labels on craft beverages or artisanal goods, vintage concert posters that need to scream from the wall, high-impact editorial headlines in print or digital layouts, and luxury branding where subtlety works against you. The extended character set supports most Western European languages and includes thoughtful OpenType features like proportional and tabular figures, superior and inferior numerals, fractions, and ordinals. These details keep the typography refined even when the overall aesthetic is unapologetically brash.

Graphic designers building identity systems, designing product packaging, or creating the kind of headlines that refuse to disappear into the background will get immediate value from this family. Grab Churchward 69 on Creative Fabrica to test the full weight range.
