You're designing a vintage labels collection for a specialty tea brand, and you need lettering that feels handmade but dignified. Thurbrooke, from Greater Albion Typefounders, is built on early 20th century advertising aesthetics and delivers exactly that character. The family offers five distinct faces, each bringing something different to period-style work. The Regular face features horizontal engraved lines that create authentic shading, evoking those classic hand-lettered advertisement headers. Alongside the main weight sits a Reverso variation (black and white inverted), a solid Black version, and Thurbrooke Banner, which works as a cartouche or masthead face, ideal for banner headings and display work. Complete the system with Thurbrooke Initials, a set of capitals that works with Reverso or stands alone as elaborate drop caps for packaging, vintage stationery collections, or DIY craft signage.

The technical richness here matters. Two sizes of Roman capitals let you scale for anything from large format signage to compact labels. The full five-typeface lineup means you can build layered, vintage-inspired branding suites without reaching for multiple families. Get Thurbrooke on Creative Fabrica and unlock that early 20th century typographic charm for your next retro design project.
