Picture a bold magazine spread with an oversized headline that catches your eye, or a luxury product label where the typography itself becomes part of the brand. That's the space where Taboo Pro, designed by Canada Type, lives and thrives. Inspired by the geometric experiments of Armenian lettering artist Fred Africkian from the late 1970s, this display typeface marries geometric precision with real visual presence.

The design philosophy is refreshingly simple: constant counter space and identical horizontals, with width and weight variations carried entirely by the verticals. This means the typeface scales and inflates without losing its core identity, giving you a single family that works for luxury skincare and perfume packaging, high-end fashion lookbooks, contemporary gallery signage, and music album covers. The geometric forms remain coherent even at extreme sizes, and the included decorative elements let you push it further when the project calls for something more experimental.

What makes Taboo Pro practical is how its weight range and alternates behave. You can dial in exactly the visual weight your design needs without resorting to multiple typefaces. Grab it on Creative Fabrica and see how it transforms your next project.
