This font radiates casual confidence and genuine substance. Salty, designed by Fenotype, is a brush display family built with bold, readable letterforms that command attention without ever feeling stiff or formal. Its weathered, hand-drawn quality makes it feel approachable even when scaled large, which opens doors across a surprising range of applications: wedding invitation suites, Etsy product labels, boutique skincare packaging, and hand-lettered storefront signage all benefit from its friendly but substantial presence.

The typeface breaks into three subfamilies (Script, Caps, and Extras) with two weights throughout, giving you flexibility without overwhelming choices. Script comes loaded with OpenType features, so enabling automatic ligatures keeps the brushwork flowing like natural handwriting. Swashes and stylistic alternates add personality for custom looks, and the Glyph Palette holds even more variations to explore. Here's a particularly useful technique: stack letters from the Extras set directly over the script to build custom letterforms that feel entirely your own, turning repetition into a strength rather than a limitation.

Pair Salty with a clean, minimal sans-serif when you need readable body copy, and the combination handles both headline impact and practical function beautifully. Get it on Creative Fabrica and start layering these letterforms into your next project.
