Picture yourself designing packaging for a luxury skincare brand when you realize the type needs real dimension and depth to stand out. Novecento Carved by Synthview Type Design delivers exactly that kind of impact. Built as a layered system, it pairs with the 2013 Novecento Sans as a base layer, creating a carved or engraved appearance that feels truly sculpted rather than merely flat.

What sets this apart from standard display fonts is the construction. Every glyph (roughly 18,000 across the family) has been individually reviewed and refined by hand, meaning each letter has been pushed well beyond what automatic interpolation could achieve. This precision becomes obvious when you're working on luxury cosmetics packaging, wedding invitation suites, decorative wooden signage, or boutique product branding that demands real visual presence. Achieving that carved effect is straightforward: shift the luminosity values between the carved and sans layers to instantly get bas-relief depth, with no complicated workarounds required.

Since the font relies on two layers working together, you'll get the cleanest results when both weights are stacked and positioned properly. At large sizes, the stripped-down geometry reads beautifully, which is exactly what you want for embossed business cards or carved architectural lettering. Grab Novecento Carved on Creative Fabrica.
