This typeface feels retro without being kitschy, combining clean geometry with unexpected character. Banks & Miles by K-Type resurrects the iconic letterforms that defined British Post Office signage in the 1970s, reimagined for contemporary use.

The family splits into two personalities. Double Line offers a crisp inline aesthetic across three weights (Light, Regular, Dark), where the line thickness itself becomes a design variable. Single Line develops as a more straightforward sans with three weights and matching obliques, all optically refined for stability at any size. Both share K-Type's meticulous approach: the teardrop-shaped bowls in lowercase a, b, d, g, p, and q anchor the design's signature charm, while careful adjustments (a narrower Z, a shortened K leg) correct the original's quirks without losing its spirit.

The extended character set includes full Latin Extended-A support, making it versatile for podcast branding headers, minimalist exhibition posters, boutique hotel wayfinding, or wine label letterforms. It's the kind of typeface that works equally well in geometric logo lockups or as a bold chapter heading in a design-forward publication. Pair it with a quiet sans serif for body text to let Banks & Miles do what it does best: command attention through structure alone. Get both styles now on Creative Fabrica.
