Balgin comes from Studio Sun and builds its character on the fundamental shapes that geometry offers: triangle, square, circle. This grid-based approach gives the typeface a crisp, constructed look that reads distinctly 90s. The letterforms break from that strict geometry in strategic spots, with a notably dynamic R and K, and a tail on the g that adds personality beyond what pure geometric design would dictate.

The typeface comes in three variants (Display, Normal, and Text) with up to six weights, so you can fine-tune the intensity for your project. It works for bold headlines and more restrained applications alike. It's particularly effective for retro branding refreshes, vintage gaming graphics, throwback album artwork, and nostalgic product packaging where that 90s DNA needs to feel intentional rather than accidental. The geometric foundation keeps it legible at smaller sizes, which matters for labels and signage.

If your work centers on retro design, nostalgic branding, or bringing that 90s sensibility back, Balgin hits the mark. You can grab it on Creative Fabrica and start exploring how those geometric bones work in your next project.
