Picture designing an ornate theater poster, a label for artisanal spirits, or an upscale restaurant menu where the typography needs to feel both refined and commanding. Asp by Superfried, freshly remastered for 2025, is exactly the ornamental display typeface you reach for in those moments.

The font's sinuous curves flow like the creature it's named after, echoing classical engravings and decorative patterns inspired by historical travels across Europe and the Mediterranean. Unlike many ornate faces that sacrifice function for flourish, Asp reads clearly even at substantial sizes. The interplay between delicate ornamentation and structural weight keeps the letterforms legible without losing their intricate character. This balance is what separates a display face that merely decorates from one that transforms a layout.

You'll find Asp shining in luxury jewelry branding, artisanal packaging and bottle label design, fine press book covers, gallery exhibition materials, and upscale editorial layouts. It performs equally well as a distinctive header for boutique brand websites and print collateral that refuse to compromise on visual refinement. The ornate personality comes through in both print and digital applications, bringing sophistication and historical resonance to each project. Grab Asp on Creative Fabrica and bring this remastered character to your designs.
