You're designing a record label's visual identity, and you need a typeface that nods to 1980s aesthetic without feeling like a costume. WT Null, created by Wraith Types, is that rare display typeface that makes both work: it has the quirky character of a vintage Swiss book cover about mushrooms, yet the practical bones of a workhorse grotesque.

The inverted contrast and extended proportions give WT Null an unusual visual weight that reads crisp at poster sizes and holds up surprisingly well in editorial headers. You'll find it equally effective on vinyl sleeve artwork, independent band merchandise, retro product packaging, and boutique cafe signage. That structural flexibility means you're not locked into one aesthetic; this typeface adapts to whatever mood you're setting, from nostalgic revivals to something more contemporary.

What makes it genuinely useful is that it doesn't sacrifice readability for personality. The inverted contrast creates distinction without tipping into novelty-face territory, and the extended proportions keep letterforms sharp across sizes, from large display text to smaller headlines. It's the kind of typeface designers reach for when they want visual impact with actual substance behind it. Grab WT Null on Creative Fabrica and add some dimensional depth to your next project.
