There's an uncompromising boldness to this typeface that reads instant retro. UNDERSHOES, designed by Rightwheels, is a geometric all-caps display font with serious personality. Its letterforms lean into that 70s and 80s energy through clean lines and chunky proportions that feel authentic without veering into parody. The design strikes a careful balance between impact and restraint, strong enough to command attention in any composition, yet refined enough to handle actual design work without feeling gimmicky.

Vinyl record covers would be a natural home for this face, as would vintage concert posters and band logo treatments looking for that nostalgic punch. Skateboard graphics, retro diner menus, and antique shop signage all give this font a stage where its personality shines. Comic book title lettering and throwback apparel graphics work equally well. The geometric construction keeps it from feeling precious or over-decorated, so it handles bold, large-format applications without flinching or losing readability.

Pair UNDERSHOES with a clean, modern sans-serif for any supporting body copy, which creates an interesting visual tension between old and new aesthetics. That contrast keeps designs feeling sharp and intentional rather than purely nostalgic, grounding the retro energy in something contemporary.
