TT Tunnels feels like something carved into medieval stone, then brought to vivid life. Typetype created this modular display font with two visual modes: one geometric and clean, the other flowing and calligraphic. Toggle the OpenType feature (salt or ss01) and the typeface shifts from cut geometric forms to a stylized ductal gothic grotesque that mimics pen strokes.

What makes it special is that you can actually live in its bold and black weights for body text. The dense horizontal rhythm creates a visual texture that recalls old Gothic blackletter manuscripts and Old Slavonic script, lending substance and history to any page it touches. This unexpected versatility makes it work brilliantly for heritage branding, limited-edition book covers, editorial design with personality, and luxury packaging that benefits from historical references.

The technical side is equally thoughtful. You get alternates for all lowercase letters, a special numeral 2 variant, a slashed zero, numerous ligatures, and support for OpenType features including ordinals, fractions, superiors, and tabular numbers. The five weights span Thin through Black. If you pair TT Tunnels with a straightforward sans-serif for body copy, the contrast between its character and the supporting text becomes even sharper. Grab it on Creative Fabrica to unlock all that geometric and flowing potential.
