About Symbol Std Font
Symbol was designed at Adobe as a general-purpose set of pi characters to be included with the ROM fonts in the original Apple LaserWriter. The design is based on Adobe’s core font Times Roman. It includes a full Greek alphabet, many mathematical characters, and assorted dingbats.
