Picture a bold skate shop sign catching the light on a downtown street, or the wordmark on a sportswear collection. That's Sugo Pro, a condensed geometric typeface from Zetafonts that brings urban grit to whatever it touches. Originally conceived by Francesco Canovaro in 2006, the family received a complete overhaul by Andrea Tartarelli in 2018, expanding it from two weights to a full suite that includes regular, bold, extralight, and three additional cuts, all with matching italics.

This typeface works hardest when you need something with attitude. Pairing it with a project's main visual creates instant recognition on skateboard graphics, athletic team badges, and streetwear hang tags. The lighter weights maintain clarity even at smaller sizes on product labels and packaging, while the bold cuts dominate headlines and logo applications. Its rounded corners soften the geometric structure just enough to feel approachable without losing impact.

The character set spans Latin, Cyrillic, and Greek, backed by full OpenType support including positional figures, small caps, and stylistic alternates that recall Canovaro's original letterforms. If you're after maximum impact in display and logo work, Sugo Pro Display pairs a tighter kern with these alternates as base characters. Grab Sugo Pro from Creative Fabrica and start building work that doesn't whisper.
