Stubby Rough by Tipos Pereira is a condensed display family with an unpolished, heavy-handed character inspired by Brazilian vernacular design. The typeface captures visual DNA from those iconic brown beer bottles you find in Brazilian botecos, transforming that raw, no-nonsense aesthetic into 11 distinct weights ranging from crisp thin to aggressive ultrabold. The tight letter spacing was deliberately engineered to squeeze bold, legible impact into narrow spaces without sacrificing readability or impact.

This typeface excels at beer label redesigns, dive bar menus, indie record sleeves, nightclub posters, and retro packaging projects that demand grit over polish. While Stubby Rough shines brightest in headlines and titles, the informal character works equally well set at text size if you're building a publication or brand that channels casual, street-level energy. You'll appreciate the tight spacing when working on signage, labels, or poster layouts that need to pack a visual punch. The complete character set comes in OTF, TTF, and WOFF formats, supporting your production pipeline whether you're working locally or uploading to the web.

The rough texture and stubby proportions aren't accidents. They're purposeful design choices that make work feel lived-in and honest rather than slick. Grab Stubby Rough from Creative Fabrica and start building designs with real personality.
