Strumpf breaks free from rigid letter conventions by embracing pure personality and movement in every single shape. Designed by Portuguese typographer Mario Feliciano and rooted in the visual language of comic strips, this decorative typeface transforms individual characters into expressive, bouncy forms that seem to dance across the page. Every letterform gets its own quirky energy while staying readable, held together by consistent rounded contours and distinctive outlines rather than formal letterform logic.

Strumpf really shines when used sparingly for impactful, memorable moments instead of running text. Children's book cover titles, comic strip speech bubbles, playful greeting card messages, vintage-style poster headlines, or DIY craft project lettering all showcase what this typeface does best. It includes two complementary variations, Open and Contour, each with its own distinct outline treatment. Both versions encourage letters to interact and overlap for extra visual interplay and jocular effect. By stacking the two variations together in multi-color printing, you unlock dimensional, layered text effects that give your work genuine personality.

This is the font for designers tackling projects that need to feel joyful and intentionally unserious, not polished corporate work. Reach for Strumpf when your design's tone calls for character and playfulness over formality. Available on Creative Fabrica.
