Stinger by Zetafonts is a reverse-contrast display typeface that inverts the usual weight distribution of modern type. Where traditional fonts show thick verticals and thin horizontals, Stinger does the opposite, creating an edgy, high-contrast look rooted in 19th-century circus posters and wild west advertising. That historical DNA gives it inherent personality.

The Zetafonts team modernized this eccentric tradition by grounding it in the proportions of minimalist sans serifs. You get four widths and five weights (40 fonts total with italics), so you can use the tight Slim variant for dense text, the Normal and Fit widths for body work, and the expansive Wide version for display and titling. Each width includes proper italics at all weights.

Use this for music festival posters, vintage-style beauty product packaging, editorial magazine covers, and nightlife venue signage. The character set extends to over 200 languages including Russian Cyrillic, with thoughtful OpenType features like positional figures and stylistic alternates, plus a variable version for maximum flexibility. If you're tired of neutral sans serifs and want a display face with genuine swagger, pick it up on Creative Fabrica and see what you can do with real personality.
