Simplo, designed by Durotype, stands out for its spare, almost architectural approach to letterforms. The lowercase t reduces form to pure essence: a vertical stem with just a right-aligned crossbar, while the f stretches across the full vertical range, equally restrained. This geometric approach draws from the 1930s Semplicità by Alessandro Butti, though Simplo reimagines those ideas with a lighter, more contemporary sensibility. The spurless bowl letters (a, b, d, g, p, q, u) lean toward soft, rounded geometry rather than sharp angles, creating both clarity and a certain refinement.

Sixteen weights deliver flexibility across the entire spectrum, from bold headlines down to reading sizes where the typeface remains surprisingly legible despite its display-oriented roots. Extensive language support, eight different numeral styles, and a comprehensive set of OpenType features give you real control for sophisticated layouts. High-fashion magazine spreads, luxury beauty packaging, fine dining menu systems, and contemporary art gallery signage all benefit from Simplo's geometric restraint. The clean construction makes it equally at home in editorial layouts where visual hierarchy needs to feel effortless.

This is the typeface for designers building corporate systems, editorial projects, or any work demanding precision without decoration. Discover Simplo on Creative Fabrica, and try the free demo first.
