SB Sumo channels the maximalist energy of 90s and early 2000s design with bold, playful letterforms that practically jump off the screen. Created by SelfBuild Type Foundry, this display typeface captures that unapologetic retro vibe that's become essential in contemporary design, especially among creatives mining nostalgia for fresh visual impact and eye-catching appeal.

The typeface shines across several contemporary projects: retro concert and event posters, vintage-themed social media graphics and podcast cover art, throwback streetwear and merchandise designs, and y2k-inspired brand logos and website headers. Available in both Regular and Italic versions with 118 glyphs, SB Sumo also includes WOFF web fonts if you're building digital experiences. The dual styles and extended character set give you flexibility to layer weights and angles throughout your layouts for maximum visual interest.

This is the typeface for designers who want their work to read as deliberately retro, not accidentally dated. If you're building campaigns that lean into 90s nostalgia or simply want that bold, pop-culture punch in your comps, SB Sumo delivers without hesitation. Find it on Creative Fabrica and add some authentic y2k character to your type collection.
