This font drips with character and unsettling charm. Melt, designed by Tomatstudio, is a hand-drawn display typeface built on meticulous freehand digital sketches that carry real personality. The letterforms feel organic rather than calculated, which is exactly why they land so effectively in unconventional design work.

Where this font really shines is in specific applications: vintage horror movie posters, indie album artwork and packaging, alternative music festival graphics and event promotions, and creepy merchandise tags for small brands or Etsy sellers. Because every single glyph was hand-drawn rather than algorithmically generated, the letters carry visual weight that feels genuinely intentional rather than merely decorative. Tomatstudio includes the Melt Generator as a bonus feature, providing vector melt elements and connectors so you can customize far beyond standard letterforms. Everything comes packaged as OTF, which means zero compatibility headaches across all major design tools and software you use.

Pair Melt with a clean, minimal sans-serif for body copy or supporting text. The tension between the flowing, organic hand-drawn display font and a straightforward geometric sans workhorse will make both feel stronger and more intentional by contrast. Grab it from Creative Fabrica and bring that deliberate, handmade quality to your next design project.
