Mekko is Fitrah Type's rounded display typeface that channels retro energy through bold, confident letterforms. The designer crafted this font specifically for maximum impact at large sizes, giving each character a weighty, friendly presence that commands attention on screen. The curves feel organic yet structured, striking that balance between nostalgic warmth and contemporary playfulness that's hard to pin down but immediately recognizable.

This typeface shines in projects demanding visual confidence and personality. Vinyl decals for vintage camper vans, concert posters with real attitude, custom sticker packs for independent makers, and album artwork for indie labels all benefit from Mekko's bold proportions. You'll also see it working beautifully on event flyers, skateboard graphics, branding for craft businesses, and heading treatments on artisan packaging. The font was designed to perform at large scale, so sizing it down tends to close up the letterforms and lose some of that friendly weight. Best results come from applications where it can breathe.

If you design in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign, you'll access all the glyph variations and OpenType features to fine-tune the appearance. Designers building retro-inspired brand systems, makers creating cohesive visual identities, and anyone seeking a typeface with character will find Mekko available on Creative Fabrica.
