Quirky and deliberately unsettling, Hexonu by Ingrimayne Type breaks every legibility rule on purpose. This monospaced display typeface builds its entire personality around lopsided hexagon shapes (think old coffin silhouettes). Across six family members, four pair these coffin shapes with distorted hourglass forms, while the remaining two flip coffins heads up and heads down for maximum disorientation.

The contextual alternates feature is the star here. It automatically swaps between two letter sets as you type, creating a jittery, almost glitchy texture. You can disable it and lock in one consistent set if needed, but the automatic switching is what makes Hexonu genuinely bizarre and strangely hypnotic. This isn't for body text or anything resembling a conventional layout. Instead, reach for it on experimental music concert posters, indie game UI that needs an unsettling presence, retro sci-fi packaging for novelty products, or avant-garde gallery signage designed to make visitors second-guess what they're reading.

Pair Hexonu with something calm and geometric, like a clean sans-serif, to let its strangeness take center stage without drowning everything else out. Find Hexonu on Creative Fabrica whenever you're ready to bring some intentional weirdness to your work.
