Gilway radiates warmth and charm from the first glance, inviting immediate connection. Created by designer Art Grootfontein, this rounded display typeface draws inspiration from 19th-century letterforms like Caslon Rounded and Schmale Runde Grotesk, then reimagines them with a distinctly hand-drawn quality that feels truly alive. Subtle irregularities throughout give the typeface real personality while maintaining strong readability across a wide range of applications and sizes.

What distinguishes Gilway is how the layered styles work together, letting you build depth and dimension into your work effortlessly. An OpenType feature adds another layer of interactive play, making individual letters shift and animate in ways that feel organic rather than forced. This creative flexibility makes it shine for wedding invitation suites, custom apparel branding, boutique product packaging, vintage-inspired event posters, and hand-lettered logo design work. The typeface occupies that rare and valuable space between decorative flourish and true utility, bold enough for strong impact but never overwrought or difficult to read at any size.

Pair Gilway with a straightforward, geometric sans-serif for body text or supporting roles to create breathing room and ensure readability where you need it most. Grab Gilway from Creative Fabrica and bring distinctive character and warmth to your next design.
