Genplan Pro presents a bold, layered aesthetic rooted in early 20th century design. Created by Thundertype, this display family draws inspiration from Moscow's 1935 general plan lettering, bringing that historic dimensionality into contemporary work. The nine typographic layers stack together or stand alone, letting you build depth and texture or keep things clean and minimal depending on your approach.

The typeface handles a wide range of languages including all European scripts, Greek, and multiple Cyrillic families. Beyond the basics, you get small-caps alongside the standard uppercase, plus regional currency symbols (Russian Rouble, Ukrainian Hryvnia, Kazakh Tenge), numerous alternate glyphs, and language-specific forms. Polish designers get the kreska option, Albanian users see a distinct J shape, and Bulgarian speakers have triangular A and E variants. Ligatures come in both regular and discretionary flavors, giving you fine control over how text flows.

This works beautifully for retro branding systems, art deco poster campaigns, vintage record label packaging, and heritage restaurant menus that need visual weight and character. Its layering mechanics make it especially useful when you want to add depth without switching typefaces. Designers working on projects with a nostalgic or classical sensibility will find plenty to work with here. Grab Genplan Pro from Creative Fabrica and start layering.
