Freitag channels the groovy exuberance of seventies typography, where psychedelic curves and humanist geometry collided. Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini's design at Zetafonts is a love letter to that era, when bubbly letterforms and reverse contrast dominated everything from album sleeves to disco flyers.

The typeface builds its personality across weight ranges. Light and Medium weights keep things controlled and tight, landing perfectly on vinyl record covers and concert posters where visual punch is essential. As weight climbs to Bold and Heavy, the letterforms develop that signature "bell bottoms" flair with flared stems and visible contrast that practically shouts. The display subfamily amplifies this mood even further, introducing swash capitals and connected italics designed specifically for logo design and editorial spreads that demand personality.

With 16 styles plus four variable fonts, flexibility is built in. Extended Latin support and OpenType features like case-sensitive forms and alternate glyphs let you customize details precisely. Pair Freitag's warmth with a neutral geometric sans-serif for any body text that needs breathing room. The complete family is available on Creative Fabrica, ready to bring seventies energy to whatever you're creating.
