Extenda by Zetafonts is a variable width sans serif engineered for precise control. Rather than working through conventional weight variations, this typeface gives you a spectrum of widths to work with, spanning from paper-thin condensed versions all the way to hefty, expanded statements. That flexibility becomes invaluable when you're fitting headlines to tight magazine layouts, designing logos where subtle width shifts preserve the mark's visual balance, handling responsive display ads across formats, or crafting poster typography where spacing matters as much as the letters themselves.

The complete family contains 11 distinct weights distributed across the width axis, from ultra-condensed extremes to ultra-bold expansions that fill a line with presence. Coverage extends to 200+ languages through Latin, Cyrillic, and Greek scripts, and you get the comprehensive OpenType feature set: small caps, stylistic alternates, positional numerals, and both standard and discretionary ligatures. This level of detail pays off in display work where every choice about letter proportion and spacing influences the final impact.

The genuinely distinctive Extendable weight uses OpenType programming to automatically modulate each letter's width relative to its neighbors, creating a dynamically scaling effect without manual intervention.
