You're designing a fantasy novel cover and need a typeface that channels a bygone era without feeling exhausted or clichéd. Estus, created by Tugcu Design Co, is a sharp medieval serif that delivers exactly that energy. It's a display font built for impact, with the kind of angular geometry that makes every letter land with intention and weight. The character set feels alive, not stiff or over-formal, which is harder to pull off than it sounds in this particular historical territory.

The alternate character feature is where Estus really shines and sets it apart. Toggle them via Caps Lock to swap in alternate letterforms, giving you genuine creative control over the final look of your work. The two included styles mean you can pair them for visual depth or stick with one for consistent branding throughout a project. This opens up natural applications for fantasy book covers, medieval wedding invitation suites, historical certificate designs, and vintage alcohol packaging that needs a period edge without feeling like a museum piece.

At large display sizes, the sharp serifs read crisp and authoritative, maintaining their character without breaking apart or losing legibility. If you're building work that demands historical credibility with contemporary precision, Estus earns its place in your Creative Fabrica collection.
