Picture a vintage concert poster or the cover of an art and design journal from the 70s or 80s. That's the natural home for Estimo, Karandash's display typeface that pulls inspiration from 1980s Bulgarian graphic design traditions. Rather than chasing trends, it channels that era's appreciation for geometric letterforms built from purposeful angles and clean lines.

The defining feature here is what the typeface deliberately avoids. Diagonal strokes have been systematically eliminated wherever the letterforms allow it, forcing the entire alphabet into a system of horizontals, verticals, and careful angles. This constraint becomes a strength, producing letterforms that feel structured and intentional rather than ornamental. The result reads with surprising clarity even at large display sizes, making it suited for magazine feature headlines, art gallery signage, indie music packaging, vintage brand identities, and poster work where you want presence without overdesign.

Five weights across three distinct styles give you the flexibility to handle display sizes and pull double duty in supporting text where needed. The heavier weights carry real visual weight for headlines, while lighter versions bridge into body text applications with less demand.
