Czykago Rough by Typo Graphic Design is a bold, energetic retro sans serif that captures the raw energy and unapologetic attitude of 80s and 90s design culture. Originally designed in 1995 and completely reimagined in 2019, this re-release vastly expands the character set, transforming a simple typeface into a comprehensive design toolkit. The rough, angular letterforms feel hand-drawn and deliberately imperfect, bringing instant personality and authenticity to any work you apply them to.

What makes it special extends well beyond the alphabet itself. The 907-glyph set includes four stylistic alternates per letter, plus 350+ decorative elements spanning arrows, stars, hearts, zodiac symbols, and geometric shapes. OpenType ligatures let you type shortcuts (#LOVE becomes a heart, #SMILE a smiley) to unlock bonus characters. Available in multiple weights (Condensed, Stretch, Mix, and more) as both OpenType and TrueType files, it supports 80+ languages across most of the world. Designers reach for it when they need vintage band poster lettering, retro product packaging, underground zine layouts, or logo work that demands genuine character instead of corporate polish.

This font excels at display sizes and large headlines, where its quirky personality really comes through. Get Czykago Rough from Creative Fabrica and start experimenting with it in your next project.
