Cooper Fullface Italic by Wordshape is a bold revival of a legendary typeface lost to history. Oswald Bruce Cooper sketched this original design in 1927 as a heavyweight display face that marries the swollen, exuberant charm of Didone letterforms with raw visual confidence. The typeface swings between playful and authoritative, with enough swagger to command attention without veering into pure spectacle. The original drawings underwent repeated refinement to balance cartoonish energy with genuine visual impact, a restraint that keeps the face feeling sophisticated despite its obvious personality.

The digital release pairs two versions: the core Italic and the Fancy variant, offering swash alternates and design flexibility. Cooper's original ornaments, ligatures, and a full character set including diacritics are preserved throughout, all meticulously kerned for smooth performance. This technical completeness means you're not just getting a display face, you're getting one built for real work. The typeface handles vintage label design, luxury beauty packaging, editorial posters, and boutique branding with equal ease. It's bold without shouting, confident without arrogance.
