Picture yourself arranging decorative flourishes for a wedding invitation suite, hunting for ornaments that feel both refined and genuinely handmade. Collins Florets, designed by Gert Wiescher, is a collection of decorative embellishments drawn from the vast vintage archives of typographic legend Erik Spiekermann. Wiescher scanned these original designs and painstakingly redrew each element, preserving the slightly rough, imperfect character that gives them their authentic personality.

These embellishments work beautifully across vintage label design, greeting card borders, editorial spreads, and DIY craft projects where you want authentic ornamentation rather than slick geometric shapes. What makes these different is their honest, slightly worn quality: they carry the visual fingerprint of an era without feeling overly precious. Textures and edges suggest decades of use and handling rather than perfect digital rendering. Custom book jackets, stationery suites, and specialty packaging all benefit from these flourishes that anchor a design in something genuinely real.

The full character set includes plenty of variation across the collection, so you can layer and combine different elements to build custom borders, frames, and decorative accents tailored to your specific project.
