The hallmark of Chunky, designed by Inermedia STUDIO, is its counterintuitive balance between slender verticals and generously rounded terminals paired with surprisingly open counters. This sans serif display typeface manages to feel both minimal and expressive, with a monolinear stroke weight that gives it a refined, contemporary edge while retaining real character.

What makes this typeface memorable is how the proportions work together across the alphabet. The tall letterforms and spacious negative space (especially visible in the U and Y) create strong readability at any scale, which translates across wildly different contexts. You'll see it shine on luxury beauty brand packaging, startup pitch deck covers, holiday greeting card suites, and modern event invitations. The clean lines also perform nicely on lifestyle blog headers, restaurant menu designs, and boutique storefront signage. It's equally at home in a logo mark as in extended text, which is fairly rare.

Chunky suits designers and brands looking for personality without visual noise, those building contemporary visual systems that need breathing room. Projects spanning hospitality, luxury goods, tech startups, and creative services find a natural home here. The typeface reads as intentional rather than trendy, which means it ages well.
