Bold, confident, and unapologetically Art Deco, CHUCK commands attention the moment you set it. Designed by Jim Parkinson, this display typeface draws its heritage from an unexpected source: a bronze plaque adorning the South Tower of the Golden Gate Bridge, which honors the builders behind this iconic structure. Parkinson captured that architectural gravity and translated it into letterforms that demand to be noticed. The font works beautifully for vintage-inspired wedding invitations and stationery suites, theater posters and event advertising, speakeasy-style restaurant branding, and high-end cosmetics and skincare package design.

Originally launched in 2004 as a Type 1 font, CHUCK was thoughtfully refreshed and re-released as an OpenType file in 2012. That modern format means smooth integration with current design software and no compatibility friction. The character set carries substantial weight and visual authority, performing equally well at poster scale and in printed materials.

To keep readability and visual balance, set CHUCK as your headline or focal point and pair it with a clean, straightforward sans-serif for body copy. The juxtaposition of vintage warmth against modern simplicity creates designs that feel both nostalgic and current. You'll find CHUCK waiting on Creative Fabrica, ready to inject some Art Deco character into your next project.
