This collection hits like raw energy straight from a designer's sketchbook. Bobby Jones TC from Tom Chalky is a set of 16 display fonts built on intentional imperfection, and they wear it like a badge. The letterforms are deliberately wonky (corners don't align, baselines wander, characters lean in unexpected directions), but that's precisely the appeal. The hand-drawn aesthetic thrives on vintage vinyl labels, indie concert posters, skateboard graphics, and craft brewery branding, where the mechanical precision of most typefaces would actually undermine the message you're trying to send.

What makes this redesign compelling is how Chalky balanced restraint with personality. He resurrected his original collection from years back and rebuilt it from the ground up, keeping the raw character that made the first version stick while tightening the technical execution. The set now includes more alternate characters and improved language support, giving you real flexibility across projects.

Pair Bobby Jones with a clean, straightforward sans-serif for contrast. Helvetica, Futura, or any contemporary geometric can serve as an effective companion. That pairing lets each typeface do its job without competing for visual weight. It's the kind of display font that makes rough, imperfect design feel intentional rather than sloppy.
