Bihext by Ingrimayne Type is a geometric display typeface built on a deceptively clever structural premise: each character fits within a trapezoid shape derived from bisecting a hexagon from corner to corner. This mathematical foundation creates a distinctly angular, modern aesthetic that feels intentionally constructed, with an almost architectural quality to the letterforms.

The font's most interesting design choice is its dual character set. Since the trapezoids can be oriented two different ways, Bihext provides two versions of every letter, and design software with OpenType support will automatically alternate between them (using the contextual alternatives feature, or calt) to create visual variety across your text. The typeface is monospaced with deliberately tight letter spacing, which requires some thoughtful handling. For multi-line text, you'll almost certainly need to increase line spacing. If the tightness feels restrictive, try layering the included outline style over the filled version and using contrasting colors to help individual letters stand out; this is more effective than simply loosening the tracking. Bihext is purely a display face, far too intricate for body text or small sizes.

This typeface excels in projects demanding bold geometric typography: album cover lettering, art director-led poster campaigns, tech startup branding systems, and video game UI headlines where pixel-perfect precision matters.
