Picture a hand-written birthday banner hanging in a child's bedroom, or colorful labels for a DIY toy container. That's the spirit behind Big Kids, a display font by airotype. Chunky and all-caps, this typeface captures the unfinished, joyful quality of a kid's own lettering, with irregular line weights and slightly askew letterforms that feel genuinely handmade rather than digital.

What makes Big Kids special is the dual format: both solid and outline weights ship in one file, so you can layer them for a 3D shadow effect or work with each independently. Greeting cards with personality, sticker designs for kids' craft projects, eye-catching book covers, and back-to-school posters all come alive with this typeface. Its cheerful bounce holds up beautifully at large sizes, and the slightly wonky letterforms mean even simple text feels playful and alive rather than stiff or over-produced.

Since you get both styles in one download, you're working with more creative combinations than most display fonts offer. The outline version gives you particularly nice flexibility for layering effects or cutting with Cricut tools if you're working on physical projects. Find Big Kids on Creative Fabrica and grab it for designs that feel genuinely hand-drawn rather than off-the-shelf.
