Picture yourself designing a vintage diner menu or mid-century cosmetics label. Alimentary, the display font by Missy Meyer, is exactly what makes that retro aesthetic work across all your creative applications. Missy developed the typeface based on her font MacGuffin, making it taller and narrower for a hip, distinctly vintage feel that reads unmistakably 1950s. The letterforms carry genuine character and weight without looking cheap or overly nostalgic.

This typeface excels for craft brewery label design, vintage poster work, retro cosmetics branding, specialty food packaging, and diner signage. The typeface ships in four weights (Light, Medium, Heavy, and Outline) with each containing over 700 glyphs, giving you room to experiment with color and composition. You also get full European language support plus Greek, Coptic, and Cyrillic characters, along with alternates and ligatures that add subtle variety throughout your work. Clean curves and minimal nodes mean sharp, crisp results across screen, print, and production-cutting applications.

The Medium weight delivers the strongest retro punch on its own, though the Outline version opens up additional design possibilities. Grab Alimentary on Creative Fabrica and bring real vintage style and character to your next creative project.
