Modal Stencil by Schriftlabor is a bold stencil display typeface designed for the work that regular letterforms can't handle. The geometric cutout structure delivers genuine graphic power on vinyl storefront signage, DIY craft stencil projects, mural lettering installations, and custom merchandise tags. This stencil collection includes the complete weight range of the Modal companion family, so you can layer different weights and keep visual cohesion tight across your composition. That built-in modularity keeps stencil work feeling planned rather than random.

What makes it genuinely useful is how directly it handles design problems that demand graphic force. Event poster compositions, artisan product labels, and bold packaging designs for boutique brands all sing with this typeface. The geometry functions equally well set in display headlines or broken apart as building blocks for custom letterforms constructed by combining and layering stencil shapes. Since Modal was designed from the ground up as a unified type system, moving between the standard font and its Stencil companion integrates naturally with your overall visual strategy. Your type choices maintain coherence across the full project.
