Picture yourself at a vintage printing press, carefully setting type for a cover story or advertisement that needs to stop readers cold. That's the spirit of HWDP, designed by MACHALSKI as a heavy display typeface that channels the weight and personality of traditional letterpress work. The font comes in bold and bold italic, giving you the flexibility to add emphasis and movement without losing that sturdy, commanding character that makes the typeface work so well.

This typeface shines on projects where visual punch is essential. Think wine and craft spirit labels that need credibility, band merchandise and album artwork, editorial spreads built for maximum presence, anniversary edition book covers, or event posters where the typography becomes the focal point rather than supporting text. The bold weight commands immediate attention at headline sizes while maintaining presence in medium-sized applications. The italic version pairs beautifully with the roman weight, letting you create rhythm through stacking and contrast. HWDP reads as substantial and intentional in headlines, and it carries enough weight to work in longer passages too, especially when you're designing something printed where that heavier ink coverage matters.

You'll find the font holds up remarkably well across different applications and sizes. The letterpress aesthetic is baked in by design, which means HWDP is built to sit confidently on a page and make a real impression. Download it from Creative Fabrica and add some gravitas to your next project.
