Picture yourself designing merchandise for a throwback rock band or creating poster art for an underground music venue, indie record label, or upcoming festival. K-Type's HAPSHASH captures the visual energy of 1960s psychedelic design, drawing from the bold aesthetic that defined that era's most visually arresting concert posters and album sleeves. Named after the legendary Hapshash collective (the designers Michael English and Nigel Waymouth), this typeface channels the same graphic intensity that made their festival artwork unforgettable.

Working with HAPSHASH means you get that chunky, commanding letterform quality that reads with real impact at any size. It's particularly effective for vintage record sleeves, festival program covers, music venue signage, and retro product packaging that needs to grab immediate attention. The all-caps structure forces a bold graphic decisiveness that works especially well when you need that unmistakable 1960s visual punch without compromise. Scale it large across a concert poster and the letters maintain their presence; drop it into smaller label work and it still commands attention without losing any character.

The consistent, blocky character set brings a committed retro attitude and presence to every project. Grab HAPSHASH on Creative Fabrica and start adding some genuine psychedelic energy to your next design project.
