Bird shapes that tessellate together without gaps create intricate repeating patterns, and TessieMoreBirds by Ingrimayne Type builds an entire system from this principle. These Escher-inspired forms pack perfectly across any surface, where every shape connects to its neighbors without interruption. The collection spans swimming birds, flying forms, and resting postures, all engineered to work as a space-filling pattern. The designer developed these tessellations over two decades while creating maze books, coloring books, and tessellation references, so the geometry is both thoughtful and proven.

Your font comes in two complementary versions: a solid style for bold, filled impact, and an outline style designed for layering effects. Stack them together and you achieve dimensional depth and visual complexity. Setting your leading equal to your point size keeps the tessellations properly aligned row by row. This technical requirement becomes your advantage, giving you the precision to build intricate, intentional pattern work.

Designers reach for this when working on coloring book spreads, textile and wallpaper design, scrapbooking backgrounds, custom maze layouts, ornamental border elements, and any project needing geometric fills. It works best for creators building repeating patterns where mathematical precision enhances the final result.
