TessieAnimals by Ingrimayne Type is a dingbat collection built on the principle of tessellating shapes that fit together without gaps or overlaps. Rather than abstract patterns, this typeface renders the concept through recognizable animal forms (horses, goats, rabbits, fish, frogs, and more) that interlock to create continuous repeating patterns. The inspiration comes from the designer's two decades of work creating maze books, coloring books, and tessellation publications, where these interlocking animal shapes were carefully developed to demonstrate how complex patterns emerge from simple, repeating units.

The typeface includes two complementary styles: a solid version and an outline style that pair well together or work independently depending on your approach. Layer them for dimensional effects and richer visual depth, or use each one alone. To keep rows of patterns aligned properly, set your line height equal to your font size. These tessellating animals excel in intricate coloring book pages, printable maze designs, tiled wallpaper patterns, and educational worksheets that explore tessellation concepts visually. You'll also find them useful for decorative elements in children's books, DIY craft projects, and any design where interlocking geometric forms can add visual interest.
