About Teranoptia Font

A small-press zine sits half laid out on screen and the section breaks are still plain asterisks. Teranoptia, the dingbat family drawn by Ariel Martín Pérez for Tunera Type Foundry, was made for that gap. Pictogram faces do quiet structural work: they mark a pause, close a chapter, or give an empty margin something to hold. Because the shapes are typed rather than placed, they stay inside the text flow, which saves you from managing a folder of loose vector files halfway through a long edit.

Two family files are included, so a spread that needs a different rhythm from the one before it has somewhere to go, and the main file is set as a Regular. Coverage stretches across 94 or more Latin-based languages, useful when these marks sit alongside body text in multilingual editions rather than floating alone on a page. I would point it at risograph zine section dividers, indie board game card icons, tarot deck border ornaments, and chapter openers in a self-published poetry collection.

One practical note: pictograms lose their contour fast at small sizes. Give a single glyph room at 40 pt or larger when it has to carry a page, and if you need one inline at text size, nudge it a point above the surrounding type and add a little space on either side so it does not crowd the words.
