Sports World is a decorative typeface that blends vintage athletic design with ornamental letterforms. Created by Sergiy S. Tkachenko, it channels old-school sporting aesthetics into a display font built for projects requiring bold personality and nostalgic charm. The style sits at the intersection of retro sports culture and decorative typography, making it an immediate visual marker for designs that celebrate athletic heritage.

This font finds its natural home in several contexts: vintage sports poster designs for gyms or athletic brands, retro-themed college or university merchandise and apparel, vinyl decals for tumblers and car windows, and event signage for community tournaments or charity races. Its 1013 glyphs and support for 356+ Latin-based languages provide substantial coverage for multilingual campaigns and diverse design needs. As a decorative face, it works best as display typography (headlines, posters, and accent elements) where visual character matters more than running text legibility.

Sports World is free to download from this page, but check the licence terms before using it commercially. Choose this typeface when your design requires visual weight rooted in vintage athletic culture and when you're willing to accept that ornamental letterforms work best in headlines and display contexts rather than body text.
