Something Wicked, designed by Sakti Avellin, blends a charming script with playful display characteristics in one surprisingly cohesive typeface. The letterforms strike that rare balance between sweet and witty, with a hand-drawn quality that feels both energetic and approachable. Each character carries a cheerful, buoyant line weight that resists looking overly polished or corporate.

This hybrid approach works brilliantly anywhere warmth meets personality. Birthday invitation suites gain from its genuine friendliness and energy, while Halloween party graphics naturally draw on the slightly quirky edge embedded in each letterform. The alternative glyphs let you swap characters throughout a layout, keeping compositions varied even within tight design constraints. Everything the typeface offers stems from that balance between cute and clever, the very thing most display fonts struggle to hold without tipping into just one or the other.

Designers working with younger audiences or playful brands discover their natural fit here. Product labels, tote bag designs, and book covers all benefit equally from the handmade charm while maintaining legibility. Projects that shouldn't play it safe find exactly what they need in Something Wicked. Get it on Creative Fabrica and bring that slightly wicked warmth to your next design.
