This typeface brings sarcastic cheer and chunky retro energy to holiday projects that deserve personality and punch. Salty Claus, by CraftedType Studio, is a bold slab serif display font grounded in 1970s holiday packaging and signage, mixing authentic vintage warmth with sharply contemporary design thinking and execution. Balancing genuine personality with solid readability, the design never feels caught between eras or overdone, never veering toward pastiche: just honest, confident, and clear.

Christmas mug designs destined for Etsy, sublimation t-shirt graphics built for real holiday attitude, festive laser-cut signage and home decor pieces, and irreverent Christmas quote prints all find their strongest expression with this typeface. Chunky, oversized letterforms command visual attention while remaining completely legible even at smaller sizes, a real advantage in production work and print-on-demand applications. You get authentic retro charm without the dated or kitschy baggage that often weighs down seasonal fonts. The font ships with PUA encoding and works smoothly with most cutting machines, moving from digital mockup straight through to final production without friction.

Pair it with a crisp, geometric sans-serif for supporting text or body copy, and you'll build a cohesive holiday system that reads intentional across the whole project. Find Salty Claus on Creative Fabrica.
