About RETRO NOUVEAU JNL Font
Because of the large influx of Irish immigrants during the late 1800s and early 1900s, it was not unusual for songwriters of the day to craft songs around Irish themes, offering a nostalgic link to their homeland.
One such 1917 piece entitled “You Brought Ireland Right Over to Me” had the title hand lettered on the sheet music cover in a sans serif design reflecting the popular Art Nouveau movement of the day.
This design is now available digitally as Retro Nouveau JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.
