Rama Gothic M by Dharma Type is a condensed sans serif typeface that authentically recreates the character and visual weight of 19th-century wood type. Unlike modern digital recreations that feel sterile or overly refined, this typeface carries genuine texture and personality embedded in every single letter. The hand-crafted quality is immediate and visible at any size. The family spans 18 distinct weights, allowing you to dial the visual impact from restrained and refined to absolutely commanding, depending on what your design needs to convey.

This typeface belongs in vintage branding systems, speakeasy menu design, retro product labeling, and historical signage recreation projects. The intentionally weathered appearance lends instant credibility when you're reviving a heritage brand or creating designs built to feel genuinely aged rather than artificially aged. Dharma Type has complemented the main typeface family with the Gothic Extras collection, a free companion set loaded with decorative borders, ornamental elements, and frames sourced directly from Hamilton's historical type catalogs. An alternate form of the letter "r" is available via OpenType stylistic alternates, letting you substitute character forms for more nuanced and expressive typographic control across your work.
