Picture yourself laying out a luxury fashion catalog or designing packaging for a boutique cosmetics line: you need a typeface that signals contemporary craft without immediately dating itself. Mondo, designed by Untype, hits that balance through incised terminals and a humanist structure that plants a modern typeface firmly in the tradition of classical hand lettering.

At regular weights, Mondo's condensed proportions and modular construction work hard in blocks of text, creating passages that feel composed rather than crammed. The curves are engineered with real restraint, producing an even texture that reads as confident and balanced. This approach makes Mondo particularly effective for editorial design work, wine label typography, luxury product branding, and gallery announcements, anywhere the text needs to carry authority while staying legible across longer passages.

The typeface truly shows its hand in the heavier weights and display sizes. Accentuated terminals and ink traps draw the eye, while vertical rhythm becomes pronounced and intentional. You'll find alternates and ligatures throughout, giving you genuine refinement options as you build headlines and large-scale compositions. Because Mondo comes with multiple weights and these alternates built in, you can achieve more nuance from a single typeface family. Pick it up on Creative Fabrica and bring this measured, design-forward typeface into your work.
